The Rs. 158 crore pending subsidy under the Atal Bhujal Yojana, about Rs 90 crore has been approved for payment from the State Disaster Mitigation Fund, while Rs 66.16 crore dues related to horticulture are still pending.

The Rajasthan government has approved the payment of pending dues under the Atal Bhujal Yojana from the State Disaster Management Fund (SDMF). The Atal Bhujal Yojana, implemented by the Union Ministry of Jal Shakti, was being implemented in 17 districts of Rajasthan since April 1, 2020. Under the scheme, farmers were being provided with facilities like farm ponds, irrigation pipelines, digging machines, agricultural equipment, crop rotation minikits, sprinklers, mini sprinklers and drip irrigation systems.
The state government said it has raised the issue of pending payments with the Union Jal Shakti Ministry.
The Chief Minister, Agriculture and Horticulture Minister, Chairman of the Rajasthan Farmers Commission, and Chief Secretary had corresponded with the Ministry regarding the pending dues.
The Centre had said that it could not make the payment due to delay in administrative approval of the scheme by the state government and non-implementation of the scheme after October 15, 2025.
Following this, the state government decided to meet pending liabilities through the SDMF. The Finance Department has approved the payment of pending liabilities of the Atal Bhujal Yojana from the fund.
Agriculture Commissioner Naresh Goyal has issued budget allocation orders to the respective district councils and district agriculture officers. District officials have been directed to complete verification and ensure payments to eligible farmers.

Approximately ₹90 crore has been allocated to address the pending liabilities of the Agriculture Department. Separate action is being taken to address the pending liabilities of the Horticulture Department.
